     My name is Pasha

     I did not come from Rassia

     I came from Ukraine

     Which is not the same

    In this poem, Pasha expresses the deep pride in coming from Ukraine. At an early age he was politically sensitive and proud of his heritage. He had many friends of various ethnic and national backgrounds whom he respected and wanted them to acknowledge him as comming from Ukraine. See this also in his letter to Santa
